Volatility that adapts to the market.
Auto Bollinger Bands keeps upper and lower bands in step with the market's own volatility and fills the gap between them, so expansions and squeezes stay readable at a glance.
Volatility · Main chart · MT4 & MT5
Auto Bollinger Bands plots the classic upper band, lower band and middle basis line on your main chart, with a subtle fill between the bands. The bands widen and tighten with volatility. It marks a basis cross, a band-touch reversion or a squeeze breakout with a signal arrow on the closed bar. Reversion signals stay quiet in a strong trend, so they only appear when the market is ranging, while squeeze breakouts are flagged in any conditions. The dashboard shows which of the three setups the bands are tuned to.
The two volatility bands track the market as it expands and contracts.
The middle line in gold gives a fast trend reference between the bands.
A subtle fill between the bands keeps the whole envelope readable at a glance.
A fresh basis cross, band-touch reversion or squeeze breakout gets an arrow on the closed bar.
Reversion signals only appear when the market is ranging; squeeze breakouts are flagged in any conditions.

Educational example
The indicator marks trend shifts, with entry and exit points shown as examples of how a trader may use the signal within their own strategy. It is not investment advice and is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument.
A compact status indicator keeps you informed of the indicator's state at a glance, so you never wonder whether it is live.
A floating button hides and shows the dashboard on your chart, so it clears the view when you want the candles alone.
Every input adjusts between a minimum and a maximum rather than a single fixed value, so the indicator can adapt while staying within your bounds.
The dashboard shows the period and deviation in use and which signal mode is active.
| Input | Range |
|---|---|
| Period | 10 – 30 |
| Deviation | 1.0 – 3.0 |
Signal modes
The defaults are ready to go. These ranges just bound how far the indicator can adapt on the chart in front of it.
When volatility compresses, the bands tighten. A squeeze breakout marks the moment the bands start expanding again, a classic volatility-expansion signal.
